The brief - Think of something that is uncool or has a daggy perceived image and try to create an event to appeal to a particular target market. When this was given to me the hardest brief I could think of was to do Crocs! So... I did Crocs
Through idea generation I realised that kids would adore Crocs, who wouldn't? No laces, water proof, tough and come in crazy colours! My idea was to organise a family funday for kids that was run by Crocs!
I then thought it would be really cool if I could combine some Swiss design into an event for Kids and that is where my invitations began. The event was called "Croc & Roll" because I love a pun and because there would be live music at the event. Children could get their names printed on a T-shirt using a custom type face that I designed for the event featuring Crocs wearing Crocs. This font then would become used to create a sticker pack for the children so they could write an array of words all over things.
I really enjoyed this because it was for kids, it was fresh, it was fun and by the end I actually kinda feel in love with Crocs.
